René Laristan

(1909-1996)

René Laristan, from the North, did his apprenticeship at Sceaux in the Hauts-de-Seine, before settling in Orléans. He works first in Nibelle 50 kilometers from Orléans, a village with pottery activity is important. Then he joined Forah in 1933.

On the tournette, he is able to carry out by hand the floral decorations that decorate vases, lamp feet, fancy pieces, which are then distributed in the Parisian department stores.
He accompanied René Anchierri until the company was sold in 1956, and continued his career with his successor Jacques Lallier, before the company moved to Moustiers in the Verdon in 1970.
